Yoga can be practised regardless of a person's age. It can be practised on a mat or in a chair. The class is adjusted to the flexibility and physical potential of the participants. Yoga enhances general wellbeing: above all else it is a joy to practice and serves to enrich and enhance our lives. I have often witnessed that Yoga can help ease physical discomfort in elderly people. The flowing and gentle movements can even be practiced if someone is pyhsically restricted.
A Yoga lesson on a chair combines simple physical postures, breathing exercises as well as relaxation elements. I also apply elements of Yoga therapy. I have been able to gain a deep, practical knowledge in teaching Yoga on a chair over the past 15 years. Against all odds, my efforts to establish Yoga on a chair have succeeded. I strongly believed in this fresh and modern form of movement for Seniors. It makes me happy and proud to see how my first steps in teaching chair Yoga helped to break the mold. Chair Yoga has become a great success. Cost: On request |
